Spring is in the Air

It's been so long since I have found the time to sit down and write in this blog, that I actually forgot which website I signed up to do "diligent" blogging on. It seems as if the last 4 months have blown by at an uncontrollable rate.  I love everything about life right now.  I can see the romance in a rainy day, the sweetness of an unanswered prayer.  I was talking with an old friend the other day on the phone.  It had been so long since we had spoken, and at the end of the conversation she said, "Kristin, you sound so happy".  "I am," I simply replied..."the happiest I have ever been".

The months of December and January were filled with homework, 6 day work weeks, and skiing during all available free moments.  Most nights I fell asleep before my head hit the pillow, as I had taken on about as much responsibility as I could handle. Nicholas and I made regular trips up to Schweitzer, enjoying our days racing down the slopes, playing tag on cat tracks, and enjoying the quality time together that a day off provides.  One weekend we even played tourists at the mountain.  A weekend "away" was a wonderful and rejuvenating break from the typical daily grind.

In February, we were graced with visitors from afar.  My brother Travis, his wife Amanda, and my precious nephews came to stay with us for 4 days.  What a hoot it is to have two-year-old twins as visitors! Even when the boys were throwing a tantrum, our home just seemed more beautiful with the sound of children's feet running through the hallways.  The saying goes "you can't pick your family", but we are blessed to share relation with Trav and Manda, and I am so thankful for the friendship we share.

We are halfway through March, now.  Wow! Life is less of a juggling act now, than it has been all winter.  With ski season coming to a close, I was able to cut back on my days up on the mountain.  Balancing 9 course credits, work, and home life is much easier when working 30 hours a week versus 45 or 50.

Like I said, Life is Good :)
